About the Design

THE DESIGN

Zilungile Hanise’s Impondo takes the form of an abstract botanical composition. Plant references are interpreted through abstract form, giving the design an expressive decorative character.

Available colourways are Orange, Ocean and Dark Teal.

CONSIDERED FOR YOUR SPACE

Beautiful spaces are never one-size-fits-all.

Each wallpaper is made to order, tailored to your dimensions and chosen finish, with personal guidance from our Studio.

BEFORE YOU COMMIT

Experience the colour, texture and artistry in your own space.

Samples capture a detail of the design rather than the full composition and may include cropped, scaled or text elements. We recommend viewing yours in different lighting.

Materials & Finishes

Three carefully chosen surfaces, each bringing its own character to the artwork.

Classic Canvas

PVC-free Paper
A smooth, low-sheen paper with a soft, traditional feel.

A considered choice
Our Paper Finish is specified as PVC-free. Material composition and environmental credentials differ by substrate; refer to the individual technical data sheets for verified details.

The artist

Zilungile Hanise

Discover Zilungile Hanise wallpaper at Merchant’s Nest, a considered edit of artist-led South African wallcoverings. Explore the expressive geometry of Harmony and Genesis, the figurative linework of UbuFazi, the organic rhythm of Bloom and Eden, and the bolder abstract gestures of Boldness and Glimpses of Hope.

Each artwork brings a distinct visual language, from understated neutral patterns to richly coloured statement designs. Choose by mood, composition and colourway as well as by room: a quiet geometric can bring structure to a bedroom, while a vivid expressive print can anchor a dining space or feature wall.

Order a €6 wallpaper sample where available to assess the artwork in your own light. For a complete wallcovering, send us your dimensions and project requirements; Merchant’s Nest will confirm suitable material and finish options, pricing, production and delivery before your made-to-measure order.
